MEAP
ELA MEAP is administered in October for grades 3-8. MEAP prototypes will be distributed in September 2007 to be used as a teaching tool prior to the state assessment. All preparation for MEAP (this means preparing for the FORMAT of the test) must be completed BY SEPTEMBER 22, 2007. NO PREPARATION MAY TAKE PLACE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE ASSESSMENT WINDOW - SEPTEMBER 25 - OCTOBER 9, 2007. Additional MEAP prototypes are available through REMC to be used throughout the year. The MLPP Profundity Module is also a teaching tool to develop deep thinking which can result in MEAP success. See Profundity to the left for more information. Students need to be familiar with the sound, meaning and look of these words so use them as part of discussion as well as in print.
