The K-6 Elementary CAAP committee met and through a very long, thoughtful process, drafted Essential Questions. Several schools have been wanting these for work in PLCs. We hope they are helpful. They are written in teacher language. It is suggested you work with your students to put them into "kid language" to then post in your classroom.
For Maps of Writing Across the School Year see links under Writer's Workshop to the left. This is a tool to be used with the Calkins' Units of Study to pace writing instruction throughout the year. All schools should be using Units of Study for writing instruction. These materials are also extremely valuable for use in PLCs.
