Kerry Alspaugh is a second grade teacher at Westwoods Elementary, where she has been teaching for the past four years. She's worked in several Traverse City schools with a majority of them as a kindergarten teacher. They were on the east side at Bertha Vos, East Bay, Willow Hill, Traverse Heights, Sabin, Long Lake, and now here on the west side at Westwoods. She received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education with a ZA endorsement. Major in English – Minor in Social Studies. Mrs. Alspaugh's husband is the Captain of the MICHIGAN, a tug barge that brings gas and oil to Traverse City. Her two daughters are 21 and almost 20. The oldest goes to U of M and the youngest works at Great Wolf Lodge as a lifeguard and goes to NMC. She loves to cook, ski, bicycle, kayak, hike, read and play violin (fiddle).
