Purpose:

• To honor past graduates and staff who have excelled in their fields, given back to their
  community, and brought honor to TC Central.
• To inspire current students and community at large
• To emphasize our heritage, success, and instill pride in TC Central and Traverse City

Criteria for Nomination

• Respected by peers Outstanding in their field, and recognized by the general population
• Promotes society in a way to benefit many people
• Brought honor and prestige to TC Central High School
• Positive contribution to society, giving back to the community
• Possess qualities that might be emulated by students
• Be a former student or staff member (1year minimum)
• Feb. 1 – Deadline for nominations

Selection Committee

• Representatives from: Athletic department
• TC Central student governor
• TC Central principal (current/prior)
• TC Central faculty members (current/prior)
• Community members at large
• Chamber of Commerce
• Veteran

Selection Procedure

• All selections must have:
• Nominating form – with bullet outline of candidate’s achievements
• 3 Letters of support (2 pages)
• Picture of the candidate

The committee will:

• Review all candidates
• Select inductees for each year
• Notify all nominees individually
• Gather pictures, news clipping, and video on inductees
• Prepare press release - Late April

Awards

• All Hall of Fame Inductees receive a personal award.
• A Movie Trailer DVD will be created for each inductee

Hall of Fame Display

• A personal display board for each inductee will be created in the Atrium
• A Kiosk with a computer and touch screen monitor
  will play the highlight DVD on each inductee
• A bronze sign will headline the black and gold wall over the display board
