Victoria Derks
Mrs. Derks is a Traverse City native. She is married and has two children, Lydia and Tobin. She also has a black lab named Montana. Mrs. Derks loves spending time playing with her family. She enjoys the beaches, bike riding, camping and going for walks in the warmer months. Winter is her favorite season. She likes to go downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and sledding.
Mrs. Derks received her teaching degree in 1992 from Liberty University. She has been teaching for TCAPS since 1995. Mrs. Derks has taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She lived in Honduras and Ecuador, which is where she learned and practiced Spanish. She used to teach Spanish at NMC. It doesn’t matter what age level Mrs. Derks teaches, she enjoys them all. This is Mrs. Derks’s first year at Central Grade and she is enjoying her new school.
