Strings
The string classes are made up of all 6th graders. The 6th graders play one of the three following instruments: Cello (the biggest one), Viola, or Violin. They learn how to hold the instruments, take care of the instrument, read notes on the musical staff, and play songs. They also put on two concerts. A winter program and a spring program. The string classes are taught by Mrs. Bert.
During the second semester the students have a opportunity to play in the All City Orchestra. This is a great program where you gain experience in playing challenging songs and learning how to play in a large group. Then you give a final concert after all of the practices.
