Reading Round-up

Under Construction

Our staff helped KICK off Reading Round-up by designing a cowboy boot and displaying it outside their classroom.  We had a surprise drawing of all those who participated and presented two with prizes (BBQ Sauce) and ( Salsa & Chips).  Mrs. Jan Havens and Mrs. Betty Jewell were the winners.

We were fortunate to have three saddles on loan for the month for our Stable table display filled with horse books.  Ms. Kris Kruid loaned an antique saddle; Daisy G, fourth grader, loaned her western saddle; and Anna C. brought in an English saddle.

Mr. Sattler, a fifth grade teacher, loaned us one of his many cowboy hats to use in our hall display case as well as sharing his knowledge of the history of cowboy life.

K-6th grade students tried to guesstimate Ho Many Beans were in a jar...Can you believe there were 2,789 beans and a sixth grader was 43 beans shy of the actual total...Amazing!!!
