Hayo-went-ha
This year Mrs.Westerman's 5th grade, Mr.Balcom's 6th grade, Mrs.Kuipers 5th grade, and Ms.Clark's 6th grade classes all raised just enough money to go to Camp Hayo-went-ha in Antrim County. Camp Hayo-went-Ha is a boys summer camp and a school visitation camp in the school year. Volunteer counselors work nearly year round. The point of the camp is teamwork. All activities have some way of making you work together, such as Ropes Course, Whale Rider, archery, Rock Wall and every other one of the many activities. You spend the night in cabins and the basement of the cafeteria. The cooks there provide four nearly home cooked meals and a snack. All of the kids had a great time and hope to go back.
