This story was written because Mrs. Dakoske's students were reviewing paragraphs, and how they should be indented. Also the third graders learned about topic sentences, followed by details and events about this topic.  Here is their cool story.

The Evil Applesauce

A long time ago there lived an evil applesauce.  The evil applesauce lived in an evil castle. The castle was haunted.

The reason he is evil is because he didn't like it when he was squished into applesauce.  He used to be an apple but students at Wayside School wanted applesauce to finger paint.  The evil applesauce escaped  and hatched an evil plan.

His evil plan was to make an evil castle that was haunted. He's building a castle because he doesn't have a place to live.  He built it so that he wouldn't have to go back to Wayside School.

It is haunted with ghosts and secret doors. The secret doors would lead to the dungeon or the rooms.  You could go through the doors without opening them.

He put evil applesauce guards outside the evil castle in case the Wayside School kids came to get their finger paint back.  The castle was so haunted that the kids from Wayside School didn't want to come near it.  The guards kept a close eye everywhere in case someone comes.

One day the preschoolers of Wayside School came and they had a big fat battle.  They brought their teddy bears and threw them at the guards.  The preschoolers defeated the evil applesauce, and he became finger paint.
