Creative Communications:
Poems
Creative Communications is a program where kids get to create a poem written by them, and submit it to the program where the poem can be selected by Creative Communications. Many poems were selected to be published in the Creative Communications book, one girl in 5th grade last year at Central Grade wrote a poem and was chosen as one of the top ten poems of them all statewide. This program is offered to 5th graders in Mrs. Trapp and Mrs. Westerman's classes. Also this program was offered in Mrs. Towner's class this year.
Gold and Red and Pink,
Orange glowing sun,
Beauty beyond belief,
Sinking into the lake.

She won a place in the top ten poem section of the Creative Communications Poetry book. Her poem was selected from many other poem choices, as one of the best poems submitted throughout Michigan. For this, she received a $50 dollar gift certificate, and a free copy of the anthology.
