Peggy Pierson has been teaching for over 25 years. She teaches General Music for the Central Grade Montessori program at Central Grade and also at Blair Elementary School. She attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for her Bachelors in Music Education and obtained her masters in the Art of Teaching from Mary Grove College in Detroit.
Her interests include her family, hiking, reading, and travel. Her husband Tom is a horse trainer. Her daughter teaches in Montana and her son is graduating from Hope College in May. The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce named her an Outstanding Educator in 1997.
