January 30, 2007 brought a special opportunity to Central Grade School and the Quota International of Traverse City Michigan. Members of Quota were welcomed to Central Grade School Library for a thank you presentation by Ms. Hissong's hearing impaired for their generous grant of $500 to purchase materials for the classroom and the library. Quota members were shown the many materials by several of the students as well as Ms. Hissong. Also demonstrated was the story time with the interpreter signing the story read by Mrs. Davis. The members were invited to share juice and cookies with the students in their classroom. What a wonderful time of sharing!
Thank you to the many students, parents, and staff members who donated new and gently used books for our library. We received 110 books from the following people: Karessa W., Barbara J. Weber, Jane K., Tori and Ashlynn, Melyn Jenner, Sarah R., Casey T., Ashlee W., Margie Clark and Candy Davis and some anonymous donors.
